Sociological Inquiry

The official journal of Alpha Kappa Delta
Current Co-Editors: Cameron Lippard and J. Scott Carter
Published by: Wiley-Blackwell

When you were initiated, you became a lifetime member of Alpha Kappa Delta! Payment of the initiation fee entitles you to become an active member and receive a one-year subscription to Sociological Inquiry, the official journal of the Society. After the first year, you may remain active by renewing your membership and to continue receiving the journal.

If your chapter included your email address on the new membership documents sent to the Executive Office, you will automatically be signed up for online access to our journal (one free year). If you would like print copies of the journal, please submit the AKD activation form to the Executive Office.

Are you thinking, "I have not received my journal yet!" This could be due to a few reasons:

  1. Print copies of the journal are sent out quarterly. You will not receive your journal as soon as you become a member or submit your activation form. Rather, you will receive your journal (and any back issues if necessary) during the published cover months the journal is sent out. Online access labels are sent to the Publisher quarterly as well.
  2. We may not have received your Activation Form. Please check with the office or send the form at your earliest convenience to us via email at
  3. You may no longer be an active member. Check with the office for your status. If you find you are no longer active, you may renew your membership by filling out the Renewal Form and sending in payment. There is no obligation to remain an active member.

Do you want to continue to receive another year of Sociological Inquiry? Renew your membership today!
